A warm and enthusiastic crowd gathered around 10 packed tables on the Nomad Theatre stage for the 2016 quiz night, and included a good number of people who were newcomers to the theatre.
“The Arnolds” had written and delivered a truly inclusive quiz, which provided “Something for Everyone”. As well as general knowledge, observation and whacky numbers rounds, sensory rounds required teams to use touch and feel to identify objects in boxes, and keen listening was required to recognise noises made by everyday objects. Knowledge of Play In A Week was an advantage to many of our participants and volunteer helpers, and a great time was had by all.
Special thanks must go to Richard from ‘Arty Tarty Foods’ for giving up his time to come and cook a fresh hot meal for everyone. Thanks also to a local BUPA Care home for generously providing a lovely selection of deserts, and also to the ‘Company of Cooks’ for donating all the bread and salads.
Numbers are still being finalised, but we look to have raised a good £800+ for Play In A Week from this event, and the bar takings were very high too, helping to boost the Green Room’s coffers as well as the volume of noise and heckling during the second half!
Our thanks again to everyone who came along and supported this fun event, who bought a raffle ticket or two and also donated raffle prizes.
We hope you enjoyed a thoroughly good evening and we look forward to seeing you at the next event.
Many thanks to Sue Lee, Gavin Sadler, and others for these photos from this fun evening.
